Your town's official .gov email, handled start to finish.
Wisconsin towns can get a free wi.gov address from the state, but the state doesn't provide the technical help. We do all of it for a flat $495.
Why now
- The Wisconsin Elections Commission recommends that all municipalities use a .gov or wi.gov email address, and warns against free email services. Source
- WEC has said: “All WisVote users will eventually be required to have a .gov domain for official email communications.” WEC also says: “There is not yet a set date for this change.” Source
- Many town names are shared. There are 12 Towns of Lincoln in Wisconsin, but only one can have townoflincoln.wi.gov.
How it works
- Your clerk claims your town's name on your town's page.
- Your town board chair signs the request letter online.
- We file your claim with the state right away and handle the follow-up.
- We connect your website and set up Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 email.
The wi.gov domain itself is free from the state. The $495 is for our service.
